Update from Virginia - Wednesday

Thomas is doing well. His condition continues to improve. He is currently in the hospital entertaining a Fox news crew there to do a story on him. Virginia reports that Thomas is sitting up in bed and is playing computer games. He has recently passed all cognitive and speech tests given to him he will be transferred tomorrow to Shepherd spinal center for inpatient rehabilitation. Doctors state that they would not be surprised if he is there less than two weeks.

  3. Actually, CBS Atlanta, Fox News AND 11 Alive all sent crews tonight – at the same time. We were all interviewed. Thomas was quiet and halting in his speech but he did very well. Check out the 11:00 news tonight on any of those stations. I'm not sure if or when it will be on. Thomas' doctor, Sanjay Dhall was also interviewed.

  5. I'm just speechless. We are so happy for you. Thomas' story is an inspiration, and I hope his story gets out there.

It's too bad it took something so horrifying to bring us all together. Hopefully we can keep this spirit moving forward.

  7. what an amazing journey for Thomas and his family and friends - as a friend of a friend, it is gratifying to see the support shared with this family, in various forms of prayer and encouragment and laments and tears (and yes, I see these posts as prayers!)
